the only space that must be left is the one between the first a and the href.
But the story doesn't sound so bad. I mean driving trough the desert isn't that, what everyone does everyday. Of course I can understand the feeling and the mood, in which you can easily fall, while driving alone such trips.
a few days ago i took my motorcycle and travelled to Husum alone, though I think I can understand your feelings quite good...
